I long to write of passion.
Passion of the deepest kind.
The kind of passion that is not reflected only
in the deepest form of physical intimacy
or sexual desire.
Without the passion that I speak of,
sexual desire is only reduced to lust or instinct.
The passion that I long for,
that I desire to uncover,
is what gives life itself purpose, meaning, and depth.
Life is not an empty or broken vessel.
Life is what fills the vessel.
If the vessel is broken,
let it be made new.
If there appears to be no life,
draw from the Source
that will never run dry
or cease to produce Life.
The Source of Life is endless
and His depth unsearchable
within the span of time.
When you choose to draw from this Source of Life,
your journey will continue beyond time,
for He is timeless.
He is the only way to truly find Life
and be filled to the full,
overflowing.
Earthly vessels need refilling.
For My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living water,
and they have dug their own cisterns—
broken cisterns that cannot hold water.
— Jeremiah 2:13 (BSB)
The wells we dig for ourselves to find life
can stop producing water,
only leading to endless searching
and desperation.
This Source will never run out,
never become dry.
He is the only way to be filled
and to be satisfied.
He is never contaminated or polluted.
He is purity itself.
Will you drink from this flowing stream?
This Source of Life,
which alone truly satisfies
and quenches your parched soul.
Will you accept that He is the only Source of Life
and Life itself is only, truly, found in Him?
He is waiting.
He is calling in the quiet stream.
Will you come and find peace in His flow?
Will you acknowledge that your soul is parched,
and your vessel needs to be made new?
He is waiting, patiently.
If you come to Him,
if you allow Him to,
He will bring wholeness, restoration,
overflowing life and peace to you.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away.
Behold, the new has come!
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (BSB)
Like a butterfly breaking out of the cocoon,
He will transform what was
and make it new.
So, if you hear Passion’s call
and find yourself standing at the bank
of this beautiful Source of Life —
don’t hesitate.
With your soul fully clothed or undressed,
jump into this Source of Life,
let Him cleanse you,
wash away the pain and strife.
For you are His passion,
and He will give depth to your shallow life.
It is free to you,
but purchased at the highest price,
for you to come and draw from this Source of Life.
He laid down His Life
so that you could experience
the Source of Life without measure.
You are His desire
and you are His pleasure.
He was willing to take on all of your hurt and your pain,
in exchange, you drink only from the Source
that will wash over you and make you new.
He is Passion
and His desire is you.
This is the passion that I long to uncover,
and I trust that as I write you will discover,
in all that He is, your life will find meaning,
you will understand what you were created for.
So come and draw true Life from the Source.
I long to drink of you, O God,
drinking deeply from the streams of pleasure
flowing from your presence.
My longings overwhelm me for more of you!
My soul thirsts, pants, and longs for the living God.
I want to come and see the face of God.
— Psalm 42:1-2 (TPT)
